ABOUT MEHello! My name is Nico Moldovean, and I am a mechanical engineer with a strong focus on aerospace. I recently graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in mathematics. I love designing and building things, managing large-scale projects, and solving complex engineering problems. My technical specialties include engineering design, CAD, analysis, CNC & manufacturing engineering, composites, systems engineering, aerodynamics and mechatronics.
During my four years at Tufts, I was President of Tufts Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS) and co-leader of the Tufts SEDS Rocketry Team, where I made it my mission to foster a supportive and vibrant community of Tufts students interested in space, while growing the rocketry team from 5 to nearly 60 people and constantly pushing to reach new heights. I also led the team's outreach efforts, seeking to share what I had learned and inspire the next generation of rocket scientists. In my free time I enjoy skiing, hiking, cooking, baking, soccer, playing the piano, crafting my famous homemade jam, spending time with family and friends, watching rocket launches, and building cool things.
